FireOne™ Pyrotechnics Management

Timecode Wizard

To assure that pre-programmed events (cues) fire accurately and precisely, FireOne™ has developed TimeCode Wizard. TimeCode Wizard generates flawless digital time code in the digital domain inside the user's computer. TimeCode Wizard then combines the time code with your music score to create perfect "first generation" music and time code tracks.

The combined music and time code "tracks" may be transferred to any audio media, such as a CD, and then utilized to provide high quality music for the audience and perfectly synchronized time code for the firing system. A nice feature of TimeCode Wizard is that it can selectively produce time codes for most firing systems including SMPTE 25 and 30 frames per second.

TimeCode Wizard produces time code in four easy steps.

Step 1 Open your existing music score audio soundtrack. Entering the music (.wav) file name in the "Open Wavefile" window automatically fills in the correct information. Click "Next" to continue.

Step 2 Select the type of time code desired for this display. TimeCode Wizard will produce five different types of time code including FireOne's proprietary FSK time code. If you have a multi-channel sound card you may select the option to utilize four channels for stereo music and multiple time codes. Click "Next" to continue.

Step 3 Enter the file name for the new digital (wav) file that TimeCode Wizard will create for this display. TimeCode Wizard will automatically create a file with your master music score on one channel and time code on the other. Click on the "Next" button to continue.

Step 4 Create the new (wav) file. Click on the "Create Wavefile" button to begin creating the new file. When TimeCode Wizard completes the new file click on "Finish" to continue.

Step 5 Automatically test the new digital (wav) file. A set of media player buttons is now available. Click on the right pointing triangle to play the finished file.
